and from a loss to play like we did this is my club. i cannot haveer o san francisco's civic center to watch the giants with the tigers. fans were watching, waiting, expected to land hoping for it when they were not disappointed. the crowd exploded in their war when sergio romero through the final strike and the bottom of the tent. someone in the crowd marched fireworks everyone was hugging celebrating. it was incredible to see it was not just at the civic center plaza also at the marina district and every corner in san francisco around the bay area in public bars. the celebration did not stop there it moved out into the streets. chestnut street to be specific where people wait giants last and cars or honking their horns. it was pandemonium in san francisco. >> how big is this for the city of san francisco. this is also does,. this is of come! is also does,. this is of come! for the second time in three years. and the fans, they went wild filling the streets of san francisco. right now at 11:00, we have complete coverage of game four with live reports from the motor city to the city by the bay. and you are looking at live pictures from our nbc bay area helicopter over san francisco. the celebrations are far from over. what you can see here is, this is actually outside of at&t park at third and king streets in san francisco. as you can see, there are several small fires in the street. we have seen one or two cars tipped over, as well. few people getting out of control. for the most part, these celebrations are relatively peaceful tonight but as you can see there are a few small fires in the streets of san francisco right now. good evening. i'm diane dwyer. the giants are now world series champions. they pulled off an unbelievable sweep tonight. you could hear the roar after the giants made their final out right there. the fans are celebrating and so are the players from detroit to the bay area. thousands of people did spill in to the streets, as we mentioned, cheerin

the san francisco police arrested a man in connection with sunday night's muni bus analyst. san francisco police have arrested gregory tyler on felony charges of vandalism and injuring or destroy passenger transit vehicle. a lot of people are expected to flood the streets of san francisco today for a ticker-tape parade. celebrating the giants would series plane. the parade will be a family friendly talk of free of it. crews were out setting out a giant video screen on larkin street. with more than one line people expected to attend today's event crews are also setting up at the barricades designed to hold back the crowd. today's parade will begin at the foot of market street near san francisco bay and cover about one and one-half miles to city hall. it will be all hands on deck for bart as the transit agency expects record ryder ship with giant fans across the bay area heading to the parade. the best way to avoid long lines heading to the giant parade is to purchase a roundtrip ticket. also bart is recommending that daily commuters get to the station and hour earlier than usual in anticip

causing chaos for airline travelers more than 100 flights cancelled today at san francisco international. terry mcsweeney joins us any encouraging news? >> reporter: there is. also confusion any time you have an event as big as sandy there's going to be some. san francisco international spokesperson told me the airlines were cancelling all 114 flights in and out of sfo from those seven airports back east. i was at the united counter, one flight has taken off for boston another boarding, as we speak so there's confusion, confusion for airlines imagine what it is like for passengers. she needs to be home in new york. after 30 minutes at a ticket counter she didn't have a plight. what happened they couldn't get you on? >> no. very complicated. >> reporter: complicated? are the airlines cooperating? >> yes, they are very nice. it is just that everybody wants to fly now. >> reporter: brian's flight rescheduled for tomorrow, not going to work. >> 10 a.m. wednesday morning i have to be at arlington cemetery. the circumstances are definitely suck but that's my story. >> reporter: these two do ha

come in time for halloween. >> following developing news out of san francisco right now. a woman is badly injured after a shooting and a car crash. >> reporter: it happened just before four this morning in city's western edition neighborhood. according to a detective a 30- year-old woman who was driving this car, you see flipped over -- that's now in the process of getting towed. she was shot four times and while on the way to the hospital she said she had been trying to park when she heard and felt the gun fire. police have been searching through the crime scene since early this morning marking shell casings and bullet holes. they say there were two shooters involve though they don't have any suspect descriptions. based on where all the shell casings are it seems to indicate that the shooters walked up to the car and opened fire. one of the detectives said they don't think it was a random attack. they suspect woman had a connection to the people who shot her. as far the woman's condition he is expected to survive. she was taken to the hospital and is having surgery and is in st
